The 44th
Convocation of the 2016-17 batch of Paurastya Vidyapitham was held on 8th
January 2018. His Grace Mar Joseph Perumthottam, the Arch bishop of
Changanacherry and the Vice-Chancellor of PVP, presided over the function. He
enlightened the audience with his sharing of thoughts and visions. The meeting
began with a prayer, followed by the welcoming address by Rev. Dr. Andrews
Mekkattukunnel, the President of Paurastya Vidyapitham. After the presidential
address, Dr. Baby Sebastian, the Vice Chancellor of M. G. University gave the
convocation address. After the profession of faith by Rev. Dr. Poly Maniyattu,
His Grace Mar Joseph Perumthottam awarded the proficiency prizes to the
toppers. Dr. Babu Sebastian conferred the degrees. Rev. Dr. Joy Aiyiniyadan,
the Rector of St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary, delivered the words of
felicitation. Rev. Fr. Joseph Poovathumtharayil delivered the words of
gratitude. Rev. Dr. Mathew Pittappillil introduced the new Journal of
Philosophy, Homo Sapiens during the function. The function concluded
with Vote of thanks by Bro. Femin Cheeran, the Senator of PVP.
